Martha
Wash is a music legend, spanning genres from pop to dance to R&B, and is responsible for some of the most
celebrated music to ever hit the airwaves. With a career spanning more than 3 decades, Martha Wash (aka "The Voice")
is back and more fabulous then ever with her new knockout single, "I've Got You." With two Grammy nominations under
her belt, Martha is no stranger to number #1 hits like "It's Raining Men," "Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),"
and "Carry On."
Martha Wash has truly done it all. She has performed for President and Mrs.
Clinton at the White House as well as international venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Moscow's Red Square
and many more. Martha has received the Keys to the City of Miami Beach and proclamations of "Martha Wash Day" in
Washington D.C. and in her hometown of San Francisco, CA. In addition to her vast career in pop music, Martha has also
starred in major theatre productions "Body & Soul," "Love on Lay-Away" as well as movie soundtracks
"Kiss Me Guido," "First Wives Club," "Mighty Ducks," and "Gung Ho."
Martha has released 2 solo albums, "Martha Wash" & "The Collection" on (Logic Records/BMG). They
reflect her timeless, powerful presence and showcases how she has impacted popular music as we hear it today. In 2004,
Martha started her own music label, Purple Rose Records, and released the soulful and dance inspired tune "You Lift Me
Up" which shot to Top 5 on the Billboard Dance Chart. Martha has lent her talents to Jim Papoulis in his project
"Sounds of a Better World, Small Voices Calling," with the single "Listen to the People" which she premiered
at Carnegie Hall, as well as the 2007 hit "Keep Your Body Working" by Tony Moran which reached #1 on Billboard Dance.
Martha continues to produce all of her own music under the Purple Rose label.
In the years since Martha
first made her indelible mark on the industry, she's continued to release some of her most captivating music, perform worldwide,
while working to call attention to causes closest to her heart, like HIV and AIDS prevention. She is requested on a
regular basis to help raise funds for local and national organizations. Martha has also become the official spokesperson
for QSAC Inc., a non-profit organization providing comprehensive services to individuals with Autism and their families. She
will lend her powerful voice to help spread QSAC's mission of helping individuals with autism to live meaningful and fulfilled
lives in our society. She also works with The Huntington Arts Council, a non-profit that inspires lives and minds through
education, entertainment and intellectual motivation, ensuring each of us a place for expression and creativity.
"I've
Got You" is the debut single of Martha's upcoming album, a breathtaking blend of pop and R&B that her devoted fans
will love and engage new crowds across the globe.
